Civic Leaders Academy: Young Leaders (Rising 6th–8th Grade)

Explore big ideas, speak up, and learn how to make your voice heard! The Civic Leaders Academy: Young Leaders Program is open to students entering 6th through 8th grade who are curious about the world and want to develop real skills in public speaking, podcasting, and leadership. You’ll work in small groups to research a social issue you care about, share your opinions in thoughtful conversations, record your very own podcast episode, and participate on a community panel. No experience is needed – just a passion for learning and speaking out. Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with priority for Richmond residents. Apply by Monday, September 21st!
